426 Hurst Hemi Barracuda

Originally campaigned out of Idaho as "Gentle Ben" from 1968-71 by Ron McDowell and Jerry Taylor

running SS/AA, Pro Stock, and B/MP with a best of 9.20 @ 152. Sold later to Judy Lilly who won the Super Stock class at the 1972 Winternationals. Sold after to Jim DeFrank in California who installed wheel tubs and full roll cage. The "DeFrank & Cohen" Barracuda ran SS/AA and some Pro Stock. Joe Allread built the engine and the car set several track records.

Sold in '76 to the late Harry Holton, and after much SS/AA success it went through more owners beginning of 1986. There has been a 4-link upgrade and replacement engine build to Race Hemi specs by the current owner. The car retains its original fiberglass front clip, glass, and interior. A rare Mopar with great history. Thanks for the sign order Steve.

Veteran Hot Rodder, Kenny Green, from British Columbia Canada recently completed his  home-built '31 in time to make the trip to Pomona as one of the contenders for this year's America's Most Beautiful Roadster. The car uses a pinched '32 frame by Blackboard Hotrods, Pete & Jake's 5" dropped axle, '39 Lincoln drum brakes.  Body is a Brookville with chopped / laid back windshield and  '32 grill. Powered by a small block Chevy with Tremec 5-speed and Winters Quick Change rearend. Custom-made pieces throughout. Thanks for the sign order Kenny, it was an honor.
